This design uses cross stitch, whole crosses only, and blackwork to produce what is a negative silhouette of a butterfly. Most of the stitching is in white cotton, but an opalescent thread is used in places and on the black fabric a shimmering green effect is produced.
 
The design is 22cms by 28cms (9" by 11") and is available on black 14ct aida or 28ct evenweave.
